Taiwan Navy ROCS Tan Chiang Commissioned

Commissioned at Zuoying Naval Base in Kaohsiung on 24 July 2026, with the President of Taiwan presiding over the ceremony alongside sister ships Tuo Chiang and Ta Chiang. Dan Chiang (PGG-627) is the first of five Batch 2 Tuo Chiang-class corvettes, launched at Lungteh Shipbuilding in July 2025 and handed over to the navy in March 2026. Batch 2 units replace the STIR 1.2 EO Mk2 with a Leonardo NA-30S Mk2 fire-control radar. The class uses a low-observable catamaran hull and carries Hsiung Feng III supersonic anti-ship missiles with a reported reach of 400 km. All 12 corvettes are expected in service by the end of 2026.
