Description
The Defense Acquisition Program Administration held the delivery ceremony for the first PKX-B Batch-II patrol craft at HJ Shipbuilding and Construction's Yeongdo yard in Busan on 14 August. The boat now enters the force integration process before joining patrol duty along the Northern Limit Line, where sixteen Batch-I hulls already serve. Batch-II keeps the 76 mm gun of the earlier boats but folds control and firing of the 130 mm guided rocket launcher and the 12.7 mm remote weapon station into the combat system itself, and adds an anti-jamming capability and a finer-tuning search radar. Three follow-on craft are due before the end of 2026.
