Morocco Navy Moulay Hassan I Delivered

Navantia delivered the offshore patrol vessel Moulay Hassan I to the Royal Moroccan Navy at its San Fernando shipyard in Cádiz on 17 September 2026, Morocco World News and Forbes España reported. Based on Navantia's Avante 1800 design, the 87-metre, 2,020-tonne ship reaches 24 knots and has a helicopter deck and facilities for boats. Construction began in July 2023, the keel was laid in September 2024 and she was launched on 27 May 2025 before sea trials in the Bay of Cádiz. The contract includes spares, documentation and training for Moroccan crews in Spain.
