Overview
- Myanmar Army (တပ်မတော်(ကြည်း)): Conducts land-based military operations, infantry warfare, and counter-insurgency campaigns. Headquartered in Naypyidaw, it operates a fleet of frigates, corvettes, fast attack craft, and diesel-electric submarines. The branch manages naval bases across regional commands and oversees the Navy Special Operations Task Force.
- Myanmar Air Force (တပ်မတော်(လေ)): Conducts aerial warfare, close air support, transport, and air reconnaissance operations. Headquartered in Naypyidaw, it operates fighter aircraft, ground-attack jets, transport planes, and a helicopter fleet. The branch coordinates with ground forces through the Myanmar Integrated Air Defence System.
