Type 901-class (Fuyu)
Commissioned by China in 2017, the Type 901-class is a fast combat support ship featuring a 48,000-ton displacement to provide underway replenishment for aircraft carrier strike groups.

Description
The Type 901 comprehensive supply ship (NATO reporting name: Fuyu-class AOE, also known as the Hulunhu class) is a class of fast combat support ships operated by the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy. The class was developed to keep large surface action groups supplied, serving a role similar to the United States Navy's Supply-class fast combat support ships.
Built by Guangzhou Shipyard International, the Type 901 is larger and faster than the preceding Type 903A class. The propulsion system is powered by gas turbines, which provide the speed required to travel alongside and support aircraft carrier groups. For operational and defensive capabilities, the design incorporates a helipad, search and fire-control radars, an electro-optical tracking system, and close-in gun systems.
The first ship of the class, Hulunhu (hull number 901, formerly 965), was launched in December 2015 and entered service on 1 September 2017. The second ship, Chaganhu (hull number 905, formerly 967), was launched in 2017 and entered service in December 2018. Both vessels are active. A third vessel of the class was laid down before March 2026 at the Guangzhou Longxue shipyard and is currently under construction.
