United States Army S-70/EH/HH/MH/UH-60 Crash

A Tennessee Army National Guard UH-60L Black Hawk crashed near Harvest, in northern Alabama, during a training flight, and both crew members aboard were killed. The helicopter came down beside a highway in a rural area and no injuries were reported on the ground. The aircraft belonged to a Tennessee-based aviation unit and was flying a routine mission at the time. The Army opened an investigation into the cause. The UH-60L is an earlier production standard of the Black Hawk that remains widely used by National Guard aviation units for troop transport, disaster response and domestic support.
