Description
The US Army and Boeing signed the Multi-Year II production contract for 184 new and remanufactured AH-64E Apache attack helicopters at the Mesa, Arizona production plant. The award covers 115 firm Army aircraft with an option for 15 more, plus 54 helicopters for foreign military sales customers, and carries a total potential value of more than 3.78 billion dollars with deliveries running through December 2027. The Army said the multi-year structure saved more than ten per cent against annual buys. The AH-64E is the current production standard of the Apache, and the contract underpinned the type's line into the second half of the decade.
