Description
A Royal Saudi Air Force F-15SA crashed in the training area of King Khalid Air Base at Khamis Mushait during a training mission. The Defence Ministry said the two crew members aboard the two-seat fighter were killed and that an investigation into the cause had begun; no cause was disclosed in the initial announcement, and the number of dead was not given in the ministry's first statement. The F-15SA is the most advanced Saudi Eagle variant, delivered from 2016 under a large United States sale, and it equips wings in the kingdom's southwest that flew extensively over Yemen.
