Description
Two Indonesian Air Force EMB-314 Super Tucanos crashed at separate sites on the slopes of Mount Bromo, inside the Bromo Tengger Semeru national park in East Java, during a formation training flight. The air force said the formation entered dense cloud, after which two of the four aircraft lost contact while the remaining pair returned to base. All four crew members aboard the two lost aircraft were killed. The Super Tucano is a turboprop light attack and counter-insurgency aircraft flown from Abdulrachman Saleh Air Base at Malang, close to the mountain where the accident happened.
