United States Air Force KC-46A Ordered

The US Air Force awarded Boeing a 2.3 billion dollar contract for Lot 10 of the KC-46A Pegasus, covering fifteen more tankers with work due to be complete by mid-2027. The award took the number of Pegasus tankers under contract to 153 including foreign customers, leaving 36 aircraft to buy against the Air Force's programme of record of 179. Deliveries had by then reached 76 aircraft for the Air Force and two for Japan. The tanker remained under category one deficiency reports covering its remote vision system, whose redesign was not due to reach the fleet until later in the decade.
