Myanmar Air Force Mi-8/17 Fleet Update

A Myanmar military Mi-8/17 was lost near Nam Sang Yang after resupplying an army position. The Kachin Independence Army said its forces fired on it but acknowledged that a technical failure could not be ruled out. Local witnesses described the helicopter descending in smoke. Radio Free Asia attributed reports of six deaths and one captured survivor to resistance sources; the immediate cause remained unresolved.
