United States Army AH-64D/E Crash

A Utah Army National Guard AH-64D of the 1st Battalion, 211th Aviation Regiment crashed during a training flight at South Valley Regional Airport in West Jordan. The Guard said the two pilots freed themselves from the wreckage and were taken to hospital in stable condition; one was treated and released, the other, an Air Force Reserve pilot flying with the unit, was hospitalised, according to The War Zone. Photographs released by the Guard showed the remains of the helicopter. A Guard spokesperson said the cause was not yet known and that the Army Combat Readiness Center would investigate. It was the first of four Army Apache crashes in two months.
