United States Army AH-64D/E Crash

An AH-64E Apache of the 16th Combat Aviation Brigade crashed during a routine training flight at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington state, according to The War Zone. The pilot and co-pilot/gunner were taken to Madigan Army Medical Center, where the Army said both were in stable condition. The mishap was placed under investigation. It was the third Army Apache crash in two months, after two Army National Guard AH-64D accidents in Utah and Mississippi in February, and was followed three days later by a fourth at Fort Carson.
