United States Army AH-64D/E Crash

An AH-64 Apache of the 1st Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, was involved in a mishap during gunnery training at Fort Riley, Kansas, according to Task & Purpose. The two Army aviators on board were injured and were in stable condition receiving medical treatment, a brigade spokesperson said, adding that no further details could be released while the investigation was under way. The accident followed four Army Apache crashes in February and March 2024, which had prompted an Army-wide aviation safety stand-down.
