Description
An AH-64 Apache crashed during a routine training flight at Fort Novosel, Alabama, home of the US Army Aviation Center of Excellence, on a Wednesday afternoon. The Army said the civilian contract flight instructor on board was killed and the student pilot was injured and flown to hospital for evaluation. The commanding general said the base's primary concern was the welfare of the student pilot and the family of the deceased. The accident was placed under investigation; the Army did not immediately release details of the circumstances. It was the latest in a series of Army Apache mishaps in 2024.
