Description
A SEPECAT Jaguar of the Indian Air Force crashed during a training exercise in Panchkula district, Haryana, following an unspecified technical malfunction. The pilot ejected safely but the aircraft was destroyed. India is the last operator of the Jaguar, sustaining a deep-strike fleet whose airframes and Adour engines have been out of production for decades, and has resorted to acquiring retired airframes from former operators for spares. The loss was the first of two Indian Jaguar write-offs within a month.
