Indian Army Aviation Heron Mk II Crash

An Indian Army Heron Mk II crashed into an Indian Air Force tower at the high-security technical airport in Satwari, Jammu, at about 2:45 p.m. on 10 April 2025. The aircraft was returning from a routine reconnaissance sortie when it reportedly went out of control during landing, the Hindustan Times reported. A senior official said a Defence Security Corps serviceman was seriously injured and admitted to the military hospital at Satwari. The Heron Mk II is the upgraded version of the Israeli medium-altitude drone flown by the Indian Army along the Pakistan and China borders.
