Philippine Air Force FA-50PH Ordered

The Philippines signed a contract with Korea Aerospace Industries on 3 June 2025 for twelve additional FA-50PH light combat aircraft, valued at about 700 million US dollars, with deliveries scheduled by June 2030. The new batch will have improved detection and strike capability, including an active electronically scanned array radar and longer range through aerial refuelling, and will augment the eleven FA-50PH in service with the Philippine Air Force from the first batch of twelve. The announcement, made public on 5 June, credited continuous diplomatic cooperation between Manila and Seoul for the deal.
