Description
A Myanmar Air Force F-7 fighter crashed at Sa Par Sayt village in Pale Township, Sagaing Region, on 10 June 2025 while flying strikes during resistance attacks on a police station in the area. The Centre for Information Resilience's Myanmar Witness project identified the type from wreckage components, including the stabiliser, rudder, landing gear and canopy. Myanmar's military said the engine had malfunctioned during training; the People's Liberation Army resistance group and the Yinmabin public administration claimed to have shot the aircraft down. Myanmar Witness found only resistance forces present in the area and could not determine whether combat damage or mechanical failure caused the crash.
