Description
A Dassault/Dornier Alpha Jet of the Royal Moroccan Air Force crashed shortly after taking off from Fes-Sais Airport, killing both pilots. Morocco operates the Alpha Jet for advanced training and light attack, and the type also equips the Marche Verte aerobatic display team. The fleet dates from the late 1970s and is among the oldest jets in Moroccan service, with replacement long under discussion as the air force modernises around the F-16 Block 72.
