United States Air Force F-35A Delivered

The Florida Air National Guard 125th Fighter Wing received the 500th F-35A delivered to the United States Air Force, a milestone in the largest single F-35 order in the programme. The 125th Fighter Wing at Jacksonville is converting from the F-15C to the F-35A as the Air Force distributes fifth-generation aircraft to Air National Guard units previously flying legacy fighters. The Air Force plans a fleet of more than 1,700 F-35As, though annual buys have been trimmed in recent budget requests.
