Chilean Air Force S-70i Crash

A Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk of the Chilean Air Force crashed in the Aysen Region of Chilean Patagonia, killing one of the four crew members on board. The Chilean Air Force operates Black Hawk variants for search and rescue, disaster response and transport across a territory stretching from the Atacama to Antarctica, and Aysen presents some of the most demanding flying conditions in the country, with fjords, ice fields and abrupt weather changes.
