Description
A Pilatus PC-7 Mk II of the Indian Air Force crashed during a routine training flight near Chennai. The pilot ejected and survived. The PC-7 Mk II is the Indian Air Force basic trainer, acquired from Switzerland after the grounding of the HPT-32 Deepak, and is flown at the Air Force Academy at Dundigal. India has been developing the indigenous HTT-40 to supplement and eventually supplement the Pilatus fleet in the basic training role.
