Royal Moroccan Air Force H225M Ordered

Morocco placed an order for 10 Airbus H225M Caracal medium-lift helicopters. The type will support tactical transport, special operations and search and rescue, complementing a rotary-wing fleet built around Bell 412, SA330 Puma and newly delivered AH-64E Apache aircraft. The order continues a broad Moroccan procurement drive spanning combat aircraft, helicopters, air defence and armoured vehicles, funded by sustained increases in the defence budget and shaped by tension with Algeria over the Western Sahara.
