Spanish Air Force Hürjet Ordered

Spain signed a contract for 30 Hürjet advanced jet trainers on 28 December 2025, with an option for 15 more, The Aviationist reported. The EUR 2.4 billion package pairs aircraft from Turkish Aerospace with an integrated training system led by Airbus Defence and Space, including simulators, maintenance infrastructure and long-term support. The Hürjet will replace the Spanish Air and Space Force's F-5M lead-in fighter trainers, with first deliveries expected in 2028-2029.
