Description

Argentina's Fuerza Aérea Argentina (FAA) received its first six ex-Royal Danish Air Force F-16AM/BM MLU Block 15 fighters at the Área Material Río Cuarto (ARMACUAR) airbase on December 5, 2025. The aircraft — two single-seat F-16AMs (M-1009, M-1005) and four twin-seat F-16BMs (M-1004, M-1007, M-1008, M-1020) — completed a trans-Atlantic ferry flight from Skrydstrup Air Base via Zaragoza, Grand Canaria, and Brazil's Natal Air Base. A ceremony presided by President Javier Milei was held the following day. The aircraft will be permanently assigned to the VI Air Brigade in Tandil. This first batch of six is part of a planned 24-aircraft transfer (16 F-16AMs, eight F-16BMs from Denmark) to be completed by 2028.
