Description
A Westland Super Lynx Mk100 of the Royal Malaysian Navy ditched off Klebang Beach in Malacca. All four crew members were rescued and taken to hospital. Malaysia operates a small number of Super Lynx helicopters from its frigates and from shore bases for maritime patrol, anti-submarine warfare and search and rescue in the Strait of Malacca and the South China Sea. The fleet has become increasingly difficult to sustain since Leonardo ended Lynx production.
