The United States Air Force received its second production T-7A Red Hawk advanced jet trainer at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph on January 15, 2026. The aircraft was assigned to the 99th Flying Training Squadron, joining the first T-7A delivered in December 2025. The T-7A is replacing the aging T-38C Talon fleet as the USAF primary advanced trainer. Boeing manufactures the aircraft under a .2 billion Engineering and Manufacturing Development contract for 351 aircraft.
