Description
A Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter of the U.S. Army's 4th Combat Aviation Brigade was struck by an FPV drone at Camp Victory, Baghdad International Airport, on March 23, 2026. The drone, launched by the Islamic Resistance in Iraq β an Iranian-backed militia β struck the helicopter's rotor area while it was parked on the flight line. No crew were on board and no casualties were reported. The extent of structural damage was not officially confirmed, though footage released by the militia showed a direct hit on the airframe. The incident highlighted the vulnerability of parked aircraft to low-cost drone attacks during Operation Epic Fury.
