United States Air Force MQ-9 Reaper Shot down

An MQ-9 Reaper was shot down over Isfahan by the IRGC Aerospace Force on 6 March 2026. Iranian media released video of both the engagement and the wreckage, a pattern repeated throughout the campaign as Tehran sought to publicise its air-defence performance against US unmanned aircraft. Isfahan hosts several of Iran's most sensitive nuclear and aerospace facilities and drew persistent US surveillance coverage, making it one of the highest-attrition areas for Reaper operations during the war.
