United States Air Force MQ-9 Reaper Shot down

An MQ-9 Reaper was shot down over Tangestan county in Bushehr province on 7 March 2026, the second Reaper lost that day. Bushehr province hosts Iran's only operating nuclear power plant along with coastal missile and radar sites that were repeatedly struck during the campaign, and it saw sustained US unmanned surveillance. It became one of the most costly provinces for Reaper operations over the course of the war.
