United States Air Force MQ-9 Reaper Shot down

Iranian forces shot down an MQ-9 Reaper over Bandar Abbas on 13 March 2026 and published video of both the engagement and the recovered wreckage. Bandar Abbas is the headquarters of the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy and had already lost much of its surface fleet to US strikes in the opening days of the war, leaving it heavily defended and under constant surveillance. The city accounted for repeated US unmanned losses through March.
