United States Air Force MQ-9 Reaper Shot down

An MQ-9 Reaper was destroyed by Iranian air defences over Shiraz on 28 March 2026. Shiraz Shahid Dastgheib Airport had been struck in the opening days of the war, when CENTCOM footage recorded the destruction of two IRGC Su-22s and several transport aircraft on the ground, and the area remained under regular US surveillance. Fars province and the island of Kish became recognised concentrations of Reaper attrition during the spring.
