Description
An Indian Air Force Su-30MKI returning to Lohegaon Air Force Station in Pune suffered a hard landing on 17 April 2026 that led to an undercarriage failure shortly after touchdown, leaving the aircraft stranded on the runway, according to Defence Security Asia. The crew were unhurt. Because the station shares its runway with Pune's civil airport, both military and civilian operations were suspended for more than nine hours. A court of inquiry was ordered to look into possible causes, including landing-gear fatigue and maintenance issues. No write-off was reported.
