Description
The Israeli Air Force struck Fat'h Heliport in Karaj, west of Tehran, on the night of 6/7 April 2026, destroying multiple Mi-17V-5 and Mi-171E transport helicopters of the IRGC Ground Force Aviation Branch. The strike was carried out using Delilah cruise missiles and the IDF released targeting footage showing direct hits on parked airframes. Satellite imagery analysed on 23 April confirmed at least four destroyed helicopters at the site, although at least one was visibly non-operational and parked without rotor blades prior to the strike. The Yas Helicopter Services Company facility at the same heliport was also reportedly affected.
