Royal Australian Air Force P-8A Poseidon Delivered

The Royal Australian Air Force's fourteenth and final P-8A Poseidon arrived at RAAF Base Edinburgh in South Australia on 26 May 2026, Janes reported, completing the 14-aircraft maritime patrol fleet announced by the Department of Defence the following day. The aircraft is operated with Nos. 11, 12 and 292 Squadrons. Defence said that the complete fleet allows higher availability and sustained anti-submarine warfare, maritime strike and surveillance operations. The same month, a Deep Maintenance and Modification Facility opened at Edinburgh to support depot-level maintenance and future upgrades of the P-8A fleet.
