United States Air Force MQ-9 Reaper Shot down

An MQ-9 Reaper was shot down over Jam county in Bushehr province during the night of 9 June 2026, days before the Islamabad Memorandum brought a temporary halt to hostilities. Jam lies inland from the Assaluyeh energy complex on the Persian Gulf coast, an area under sustained US surveillance because of the coastal missile and radar sites protecting Iran's gas infrastructure.
