Description
Bell-Boeing delivered the 359th and final MV-22B Osprey to the Marine Corps on 28 July 2026 at the joint assembly plant in Amarillo, Texas. The aircraft was accepted by Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 162 of 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing. The handover closes a procurement line running back to the type's first squadron deliveries in the mid-2000s; the fleet has logged over 686,500 flight hours across 114 operational deployments and now provides roughly 75 percent of Marine rotary-wing assault support. The Marine Corps plans to modernise rather than replace the Osprey, keeping it flying through 2055.
