United States Air Force MQ-9 Reaper Shot down

The IRGC Aerospace Force shot down an MQ-9 Reaper over Dehloran in Ilam province on 18 July 2026, two days after another Reaper was lost in the same border area. The loss came as the United States struck Iranian units involved in the attack on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan that had killed two US service members the previous day. Two Reapers were lost on 18 July, the heaviest single-day attrition of the renewed phase of the war.
