Description
The IRGC Aerospace Force shot down an MQ-9 Reaper over Asaluyeh in Bushehr province on 18 July 2026, the second Reaper lost that day. Asaluyeh hosts the shore facilities of the South Pars gas field, Iran's largest energy complex, and the coastal defences protecting it. The area drew heavy US surveillance during the campaign against Iranian anti-shipping capabilities in the Strait of Hormuz.
