Description
Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces reported hitting a MiG-29 at Vityazevo airfield near Anapa, Krasnodar Krai, on 23 August 2026, in a raid its commander said also damaged a Flanker-family fighter and a Kronshtadt Orion strike drone parked on the same field. The wider operation that night was credited with strikes on S-400, Tor and Pantsir-S1 batteries and on eight radars across Krasnodar Krai, Rostov Oblast and occupied Crimea. The damage to the MiG-29 has not been quantified, Russia made no statement, and no independent imagery has appeared; the airframe is recorded as repairable pending confirmation.
