Description
Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces said its 1st Separate Centre struck a Kronshtadt Orion strike-reconnaissance drone parked at Vityazevo airfield near Anapa, Krasnodar Krai, on 23 August 2026, in the same raid credited with hitting a Flanker-family fighter and a MiG-29. The commander's account was relayed by Ukrainian outlets, one of which described the Orion as destroyed; no damage assessment was published and no independent imagery has appeared. Russia has not commented. The Orion is a reusable armed-ISR platform rather than a one-way munition, so it counts as an airframe event; it is recorded as repairable pending confirmation.
