Uzbekistan publicly confirmed its acquisition of the Chinese J-10CE on 28 August 2026, when a two-hour Independence Day feature broadcast by the state channel O'zbekiston 24 showed at least six of the fighters landing under a water-cannon salute. Imagery released by the Uzbek Ministry of Defence places the aircraft at Karshi-Khanabad Air Base in the south of the country, with serials observed in the 1014-1020 range. Neither Tashkent nor the Chinese manufacturer has announced a contract; earlier reporting pointed to an order of up to 24 aircraft. Uzbekistan becomes the second export operator of the type after Pakistan, and the first Central Asian state to field a Chinese fighter.
Uzbekistan confirmed its first J-10CE fighters on August 28 and Bangladesh moved toward a $2.3 billion order for 20 more; GlobalMilitary.net inventories show China's exported combat fleet still rests on 495 MiG derivatives designed in the 1950s and 1960s.
