Description

Around eight F-15E Strike Eagles sustained light damage in the Iranian ballistic-missile barrage on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base near Azraq during the night of 8-9 September 2026 and were returned to service, according to a CBS News report carried on 10 September. The account was relayed by Air & Space Forces Magazine, which said the damage was repairable and that no aircraft was reported destroyed. It is the second time in the campaign that Strike Eagles have been damaged at the base, after the Iranian strike of 17 July. Jordan said 18 of the 20 missiles fired were intercepted. US Central Command did not comment.
