Around eight F-15E Strike Eagles sustained light damage in the Iranian ballistic-missile barrage on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base near Azraq during the night of 8-9 September 2026 and were returned to service, according to a CBS News report carried on 10 September. The account was relayed by Air & Space Forces Magazine, which said the damage was repairable and that no aircraft was reported destroyed.
