Egyptian Air Force CH-47D/F Delivered

Boeing handed over the first five of 12 CH-47F Chinook heavy-lift helicopters ordered for the Egyptian Air Force, a milestone marked during the El Alamein International Airshow held at El Alamein International Airport from 8 to 10 September 2026, FlightGlobal and Defense Arabia reported. The helicopters are built under a contract worth about 426 million dollars that the US Army awarded to Boeing in January 2023 as a Foreign Military Sale. The F-model, with a fully digital cockpit and the Common Avionics Architecture System, is intended to replace Egypt's older CH-47D fleet. Seven more remain to be delivered under the contract.
