Turkish Air Force Hurkus B Delivered

Turkish Aerospace (TUSAŞ) delivered the first two Hürkuş-II basic trainers to the Turkish Air Force at a ceremony at its Kahramankazan facility near Ankara on 28 September 2026, attended by the heads of the Defence Industry Agency (SSB), the Air Force and Turkish Aerospace. The Hürkuş-II, officially the New Generation Hürkuş-B, is a lighter, redesigned development of the Hürkuş with locally produced subsystems. It received Türkiye's first national military type certificate on 9 September 2026 after 153 certification tests, and is the first manned military aircraft of Turkish design to enter the Air Force inventory. Ten more are due by the end of 2026, and all 55 on order by the end of 2028.
