Description

Irapuato 6th Air Force Station is a Mexican military airfield located east of Irapuato, Guanajuato. The facility is situated within the 12th Military Zone of the Mexican Army, an installation encompassing 865 acres. This military zone hosts the 8th Armored Reconnaissance Regiment, the 12th Military Police Brigade, and the 34th Battalion of the National Guard.

Infrastructure at the station includes an aviation apron measuring 26,910 square meters. The apron is marked with three 70-foot-diameter helipads. The National Guard Territorial Coordination facilities contain an additional helipad with a 130-foot diameter. The airfield runway is configured with turning circles at both ends.
