PNS Ahsan (Ormara)

Pakistan Navy Station Ahsan (PNS Ahsan), also known as Ormara, is a helicopter air station located on the Makran coast in Balochistan, Pakistan. The facility was established in 1970 as Remote Data Station – Mianwali, with construction supervised by Rear-Admiral K. R. Niazi. On 30 October 1991, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Yastur-ul-Haq Malik commissioned the facility as a naval air station, naming it in memory of Vice-Admiral S. M. Ahsan.

Operated by the Pakistan Naval Air Arm, PNS Ahsan functions under the Southern Command. The base provides logistics air support and surveillance for the Pakistani military and hosts the 333 Squadron PN. Operations include logistical support for the nearby Jinnah Naval Base, coordination with the Navy's Air Defense Arm based in Ormara, and support for Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) collection. The installation operates exclusively as a helipad facility with no fixed-wing aviation infrastructure.
