Description
Pakistan Naval Station Siddique (PNS Siddique), formerly known as Naval Air Station Turbat, is a military and civil aviation facility located in Turbat, Makran, Balochistan. The installation is co-located with Turbat International Airport. It is one of four active Pakistan Naval Air Arm bases and the second largest naval air station in the country, following PNS Mehran. The base was commissioned on 3 September 2014 by Pakistan's Naval Chief, Admiral Mohammad Asif Sandila. The establishment of PNS Siddique was part of a Pakistan Navy initiative to relocate and distribute assets away from Karachi and diversify operations beyond PNS Mehran.
The Pakistan Naval Air Arm operates the military facilities at the station. PNS Siddique hosts 28 Squadron PN. The infrastructure accommodates large aircraft, enabling the Pakistan Navy to operate maritime patrol aircraft, including Lockheed Martin P-3C Orions. The facility functions as a dual-use airport, operating military missions alongside scheduled civil aviation services.
