Description
Sarajevo Air Base is the military component of Sarajevo International Airport at Butmir, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The airport reopened to civilian traffic in 1996 after the Bosnian War and remains one of the operating bases of the Air Force and Air Defence Brigade of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Bosnia and Herzegovina stations the 2nd Helicopter Squadron and the Air Defence Battalion here, with flight support detachments also present.
